Lots of exciting news - open now - Issue #60 April 30, 2009 |
HiExciting News #1Some exciting news is I was named the winner of the 2009 Webball National Hitting Essay Contest that I told you about. It was finally revealed that I was competing with former Minor Leaguers and operators of hitting academies in various parts of the country. Thank you if you went and voted for mine. Since I didn't tell you which one was mine, it was Essay #1. There was good information on all of the essays, but it looked like mine won in each of the 4 areas that they measured by a margin of at least 5 - 6% in each category! Take a look and see what you think or can learn along with posted comments (separate link) about each of ours, some complimentary and some derogatory at the Webball site. Exciting News #2 - VideoI've been hinting at there was exciting news coming and the truth is that I've been filming little segments on each of my three points that I made in the essay and will have them ready for you in the next week or two - because I have some really exciting news sitting behind that that isn't fully ready to go.Exciting News #3 - More VideosI was just asked to make 4 more videos for Coaches Choice, the producer of may last video - Rotational or Linear, Which Swing Helps You Hit Best. There are going to be 2 for boys youth baseball (1 on hitting and coaching it) and another on throwing and catching, primarily aimed at younger players and 2 for girls fastpitch softball and the same 2 topics. I think we learned from the last video that it seemed to confuse people as to which type of player my video was intended for. Even though the information was for both girls and boys, I'm not too sure if some people didn't buy it, even though it would help them, because they thought it was primarily a girls softball video, or primarily a baseball video. Exciting News if you have a team near Monterey, CAI've secured the California State University, Monterey Bay fields (at the old Fort Ord area) on either the 9th of May or the 23rd of May for filming these videos, so if you have a team or a child that plays on a team that you'd like to get a free clinic put on by me and the kids don't know everything yet :) and wouldn't mind being filmed (and we could get parents to sign their children's model release forms) then please respond to this e-mail right away (or call and leave a message 805-642-5827).Obviously it can be a boys baseball team (probably ages 8-12) and/or a girls softball team ages (9 - 14). Exciting News in response to the practice audioMy hitting coaching audio has been a big success. A lot of you have taken advantage of my coaching your hitter through taking 50 swings. Make sure you take advantage of it before it's gone. https://www.theinternethittingcoach.com/hitting-tip.html.Don't forget to open each e-mail from me so you don't miss out on any of the exiting news I have for you to become a better hitter this season. I'll be editing more this week. So please forward this to others who will want to hit better as well. Thanks for doing this and thanks for reading.
